Denza D9 Malaysia price stays RM259k to RM309k in 2026, anniversary perks worth up to RM15k

KUALA LUMPUR: DENZA Malaysia is heading into its first anniversary in February with a simple message for buyers, the Denza D9’s price is staying the same even after the government’s EV tax exemptions are lifted in 2026.

The luxury EV brand under BYD says the Denza D9 will continue to be priced at RM259,000 for the front-wheel drive (FWD) variant and RM309,000 for the all-wheel drive (AWD) variant. The company is positioning this as a move to protect customer confidence rather than passing policy changes on to buyers.

DENZA Malaysia also says it has sold over 1,200 units in under a year since its establishment in February 2025, with the D9 currently described by the brand as Malaysia’s most popular and No.1 Luxury MPV.

Anniversary benefits, wallbox charger, free servicing, warranty

Alongside the price confirmation, DENZA Malaysia is also rolling out limited-time ownership rewards for new customers, with benefits stated to be worth up to RM10,000 for the D9 FWD and up to RM15,000 for the D9 AWD.

The package includes:

• A complimentary 22 kW wallbox charger with professional installation, worth up to RM6,000

• A six-year or 120,000 km free service package, worth up to RM5,000

• A 6-year vehicle warranty

All offers are for a limited time and subject to terms and conditions.

DENZA is also talking up lifestyle-driven owner experiences, including invitation-only events such as the DENZA Golf Cup, premium dining experiences, and exclusive travel privileges that will be introduced progressively.

BYD Tech Discovery Day in Johor Bahru, ends January 25, 2026

Separately, BYD and DENZA Malaysia are bringing their public tech showcase down south for the second leg of BYD Tech Discovery Day, in collaboration with Sime Motors, the official distributor of BYD vehicles in Malaysia.

The event is running from now until 25 January 2026 at Padang (A) Akasia, Angsara Johor Bahru Mall, and it’s open daily from 10.00am to 8.00pm.

The four-day showcase is framed as a hands-on way for visitors to experience BYD and DENZA’s latest EV tech through test rides, test drives, and guided demonstrations, particularly for those in the Southern region who want to see how these vehicles behave in everyday situations.

According to the release, the on-ground activities include:

• Test ride and test drive zones featuring BYD and DENZA models powered by e-Platform 3.0

• Reverse parking demonstrations and speed bump exercises focused on real-world usability

• 360-degree rotation and crabwalk demonstrations with the DENZA Z9 GT during test rides

• BYD Shark 6 obstacle demonstrations including Camel Bridge and Cross Axle challenges supported by DMO technology

There will also be EV Dialogue Corners, where visitors can speak with product and technical specialists about Blade Battery technology, smart charging systems, and advanced safety features.

To round things out, the event includes a lifestyle zone with complimentary coffee, a children’s play area, and BYD merchandise redemptions.
