Meet Suzuki Jimny’s more rugged edition, the Sierra 4Sport

KUALA LUMPUR: The Suzuki Jimny is known for its creative muscles that enable it to handle all types of terrains. Well, this tiny off-roader has just got a more rugged version, called the ‘Jimny Sierra 4Sport’. It is offered in a limited number of 100 units, which are exclusively reserved for the Brazilian market.

So, what makes the new Jimny Sierra 4Sport different from the standard model? Let’s know.

• The 4Sport variant gets a custom front panel and distinctive black front and rear bumpers paired with blue towing hooks positioned under them

• These off-roading bumpers offer the SUV better approach and departure angles of 31 and 40 degrees, respectively. As for comparison, the standard Jimny has 37 approach and 49 departure degree angles. 
• There is also a snorkel, a black roof with a carrier, and tubular rock sliders
• It runs on a different set of piano-black 15-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli M/T tyres for added traction

• The exterior grey paintwork along with 4Sport and 4X4 blue stickers further makes it different from the standard model
• Inside, the blue accents are available on the AC vents and gear shifter surround. The front seats and leather-wrapped steering wheel incorporate blue stitching along with a ‘4Sport’ emblem

• A ‘4Sport’ emblem is also positioned on the passenger side of the dashboard
• Moreover, the front seats of the special edition Jimny can be folded down completely and provide a flat-bed position

In terms of mechanical setup, Suzuki has not introduced any changes with the limited edition model. That means, it runs on the same 1.5-litre petrol mill generating a maximum output of 108 PS and a peak torque of 138 Nm. It comes paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission, Suzuki’s ‘AllGrip Pro’ 4x4 drivetrain, a limited-slip differential, and traction control.

The all-new Suzuki Jimny Sierra 4Sport price starts at R$ 181,990 (approximately equal to RM 156,384) in Brazil.
