Many of you would agree that Nissan Almera is not the best looking car in the segment when compared to its rivals. The Almera has been around for many years now and Nissan hasn’t really given it a major revamp. Maybe because Nissan isn’t trying to please everyone with this car. It might have a certain genre or category of buyers in mind while designing the Almera. However, things change quickly, especially in today’s fast-paced world. Exterior

The Nissan Almera Black Series is clearly a looker. It comes with the TOMEI Aerokit as standard which is the sole reason for the car’s enhanced appearance. This kit includes a redesigned front bumper. It is much sportier and youthful than what we see on the standard Almera. The same treatment has been given to the rear bumper as well. It is very stylish and attractive. You can clearly see the diffuser from behind. There’s also a rear spoiler mounted on the tailgate. Moving to the side of the car, the silhouette remains the same, however, the addition of a sporty side skirt imparts a different character to the vehicle. Also, the blacked out alloy wheels are very sexy.

There are other bits too that Nissan has added in the Almera Black Series to give it a more premium touch. Things like the chrome door handles, front fog lamps, blacked out door pillar garnish, gloss black front grille, gloss black side mirror covers, etc.

Interior

The changes in the Almera Black Series aren’t just limited to the exterior. Nissan has also tweaked the interior of the car and added a few new features. Firstly, as the name suggests, everything in the cabin is done in black. The whole black theme, both outside and inside, makes the car look very sporty. Then we get comfortable newly designed leather seats, keyless entry, steering wheel with audio controls, a 6.75-inch display with reverse camera, trunk illumination, armrests, etc.

Engine

If you compare the Nissan Almera Black Series specs with that of the normal variants of the car, you’ll find that the aforementioned were the major changes between them. The rest of the car remains the same. Even the engine is the same. It’s a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder engine with DOHC and CVTC technology. It is tuned to churn out a max power of 102 PS at 6000 rpm and a peak torque of 139 Nm at 4000 rpm. For transmission, there is either a 5-speed MT or a 4-speed AT. This is also a good thing that Nissan has incorporated in the Black Series as it has given both manual and automatic transmission options.
