KEY TAKEAWAYS
What is the Proton e.MAS Golden Test Drive campaign?
It is a nationwide campaign by PRO-NET where customers who test drive and book a Proton e.MAS model can stand a chance to win gold bars and other prizes.Which models are included in the campaign?
The campaign covers the Proton e.MAS 5, Proton e.MAS 7 and Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV.Running from 13 April to 17 May 2026, the campaign is open to those who test drive and book selected Proton e.MAS models, namely the Proton e.MAS 7, Proton e.MAS 5 and Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV. Those who complete the required steps will stand a chance to win gold and other prizes.

The campaign revolves around the theme 30 Gold Bars in 30 Days, with a total of 30 units of 3g gold bars up for grabs across five consecutive weeks. Each week, six winners nationwide will be selected.
This is PRO-NET’s latest attempt to turn showroom interest into actual bookings by giving potential buyers an extra reason to test drive its EV and PHEV models, especially at a time when rising running costs are pushing more Malaysians to look at alternatives to conventional petrol and diesel vehicles.
“Test driving remains one of the most important moments for first-time EV users because it turns curiosity into confidence,” said Mr. Zhang Qiang, Chief Executive Officer of PRO-NET. “With recent fuel price hikes, particularly for diesel, and ongoing economic uncertainties, now is an ideal time for Malaysians to consider making the switch to electrified mobility. This nationwide campaign allows them to experience our EV and PHEV line-up firsthand, while rewarding them for taking that important first step,” he added.
PRO-NET is also tying the campaign to Proton e.MAS’ current market momentum. The company says one in every two EVs sold in Malaysia in 2026 has been a Proton e.MAS model, a figure it is using to reinforce the brand’s current position in the local EV space.
To take part, customers need to follow Proton e.MAS on at least one of its official social media platforms, visit an authorised Proton e.MAS dealership, test drive and book their preferred model, then submit the campaign entry form through the dealer.
Bookings for the campaign close at 6.00 PM on 17 May 2026.
Beyond the weekly gold bar giveaways, PRO-NET is also offering a set of grand prizes at the end of the campaign. The top prize is a five-day, four-night trip for two to Australia’s Gold Mine Tour, while three Gold Class winners will each receive a 5g gold bar. Altogether, the campaign prize pool is said to be worth RM120,000.
Alongside the test drive campaign, Proton e.MAS will also hold a Golden Roadshow in several locations outside the Klang Valley, giving more people a chance to see the vehicles up close and speak to product specialists.
The roadshow locations and dates are as follows:
Penang
Queensbay Mall, 15 to 19 April
Melaka
AEON Melaka, 19 to 24 May
Pahang
East Coast Mall, 24 to 28 June
At these roadshows, visitors will be able to view the Proton e.MAS range in person and get a closer look at what the brand is currently offering in Malaysia’s growing EV and PHEV market.
