2020 Nissan Navara N-Guard launched in Europe

KUALA LUMPUR: The 2020 Nissan Navara N-Guard has been launched in Europe with a new exterior colour, contrast stitching on the inside and illuminated footwell. Additionally, it comes with NissanConnect Services for over-the-air software updates and the latest four-disc braking system and rear suspension like the previous updated model.

The updated Navara N-Guard is now available in four colours, including black, grey, white and the new electric blue. Inside the pick-up gets contrast blue stitching on the seats, door cards and leather upholstery. Further, the interior is blessed with NissanConnect infotainment system with eight inches touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. There is an advanced GPS navigation system too.

The general manager of Nissan Europe’s light commercial vehicle division, Soufiane Elkhomri said, “With its refreshed look, advanced connectivity and dependable off-road talent, the new Nissan Navara N-Guard really allows this pickup to be a workhorse during the weekday and a stylish companion in the evening and on the weekend. This all-round versatility and appeal have made the Navara N-Guard a highly popular choice with customers, and we look forward to seeing customers enjoy everything that this renewed version has to offer.”

Powering the pick-up is the 2.0-litre twin-turbo four-cylinder diesel engine that churns out 190 PS at 3,750 rpm and 450 Nm of peak torque between 1,500 and 2,500 rpm, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. On offer as an option is the 7-speed auto gearbox.

Talking about the performance, it sprints from zero to 100 Kmph in 11.2 seconds and boasts max towing capacity of 3,500 Kg or cargo space of 1,100 Kg. A part-time AWD system is present for added off-road capabilities.

For safety, Nissan has equipped with advanced Intelligent Mobility tech that includes features like Hill Start Assist, Intelligent Around View Monitor, Intelligent Emergency Braking, Electronic Limited-Slip Differential with cut-off, Trailer Sway Assist and Hill Descent Control. Aside from these, there is an optional rear differential lock.

The 2020 Nissan Navara N-Guard is priced at £30,775 (RM 166,504 approx).
