All-new 2021 Honda HR-V’s revised for Malaysia, bookings open

Honda Malaysia has given the HR-V crossover a light update for the model year 2021. Also, the car is now open for online per-bookings. So, prospective buyers, read what’s in stock and make up your mind.

2021 Honda HR-V: What all is new?

The most significant update has been given to the crossover’s Sport Hybrid trim. This sporty HR-V variant now comes blessed with new LED lighting units all-around, and new chrome door handles. On the inside, it benefits from a new leather-covered three-spoke steering wheel.

2021 Honda HR-V: Standard revisions

We know that the HR-V Sport Hybrid is on the receiving end of a few cosmetic revisions inside-out. As for the entire lineup, in a whole, the 2021 Honda HR-V displays a better connectivity front. It gets an all-new 7-inch infotainment touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. The centre console now features two USB ports that’ll charge any device.

2021 Honda HR-V: Engine revisions

Apart from the few design and connectivity revisions, the new 2021 HR-V also brings along a slightly revised powerplant. While the non-hybrid mill continues to source its power from a 1.8-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine, the HR-V hybrid model gets a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol-electric mill. While the former is paired to a CVT box, the latter is paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Despite the revisions, Honda Malaysia is keeping the price of the HR-V same as before. However, now the car will benefit from the on-going SST exemption. The Honda HR-V prices are as follows -

Honda HR-V RS	RM 118,581.81
