Here is how much the Perodua Aruz will cost, book yours now

KUALA LUMPUR: The Perodua SUV, oh wait! The Perodua Aruz which have all been waiting for long has started making a buzz in the automotive industry. In a matter of a few hours, we had the SUV’s name, its variants, the features it will come equipped with and now, we have the most important details out, i.e., the Aruz price. Let’s spell it out, the Perodua Aruz will be offered in two different variants namely X and AV. The pricing for the two models has been set at RM 72,200 and RM 77,200, respectively.

The prices mentioned above are the on-road prices for the X and AV variants without adding the insurance. On top of the mouth-watering price, which is good RM 20,000 less than the cousin Toyota Rush, Perodua is providing the customers with a warranty of 5-year or 150,000 kms, whichever occurs earlier.

Features like LED headlamps with “follow me home” function, 17-inch alloys, rear air-conditioning vents, adjustable steering wheel with audio and telephony controls, smart entry with push-button start/stop, built in toll rear, charging port in all rows, and reverse camera make their way to both the X and the AV models. The top of the line AV models adds automatic headlamps, leather-wrapped steering wheel with a receive call button, integrated driving video recorder (DVR), leather upholstery, and HDMI ports.

Talking about the mechanicals, both the X and the AV models house a 1.5-litre motor which is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. Perodua is also claiming a mileage of 15.6 kmpl. Safety wise, the Aruz is equipped with 6 airbags, vehicle stability control, hill start assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a lot more. The higher AV model also gets the benefit of Perodua’s Advanced Safety Assist (ASA) 2.0 which comes with pedestrian detection up to 50 kmph, Pre-Collision Warning up to 100 kmph and Pre-Collision Braking up to 80 kmph. The icing on the cake is the 5-star safety rating given to the Aruz by ASEAN NCAP.

The president and CEO further went on to say that they are aiming to sell 2,500 units of the Perodua Aruz every month in Mayalsia.

At RM 72,200 to RM 77,200, the Perodua Aruz is available in Glittering Silver, Granite Grey, Electric Blue, Amazon Green, and Ivory White. For RM 450, you can also opt for the Gear Up accessories package which includes coil mats, door visors, and a luggage tray.
