Toyota Malaysia hikes prices of two sedans, the Camry & Corolla

KUALA LUMPUR: For this new year, the automakers seem to have no new or revised models but rather an updated price list. After BMW and Mini, Toyota has now released its updated price list for 2023, however, unlike the former, only two of its cars have undergone a price surge, rest remains the same.

For 2023, Toyota Camry and Corolla sedans have received a price hike, effective from Jan 3, 2023.

Toyota Corolla

The Corolla sedan is offered in two variants in Malaysia, both of which have undergone a RM 4,000 price hike. The table below gives details of the same

Entry-level Corolla 1.8E	RM 134,888
Range-topping Corolla 1.8G	RM 145,888

Toyota Camry

Toyota Camry is offered in a sole variant option of 2.5V which now has become dearer by RM 10,000. Meaning the sedan’s retail price now reads RM 219,800.

Note, the Corolla and Camry’s new prices include Toyota’s standard 5-year unlimited-mileage warranty.

Any update following the price hike?

No, both the Toyota Corolla and Toyota Camry continue to feature the same specs sheet as the model year 2022. While the former was last updated in June 2020 (with a larger & better-equipped infotainment display), the latter was revised last year only (with a new design, features, and engine).
