2020 Nissan Patrol SUV unveiled in the Middle East
KUALA LUMPUR: Nissan Patrol SUV has been given a facelift for the 2020 model year. The carmaker has revealed the new Nissan Patrol in the Middle East and the car is scheduled to go on sale by the end of 2019. The new SUV features high-level equipment inside, improved overall tech, and new designing elements. Also, the carmaker has not compromised the 2020 Patrol’s off-road capabilities.
Nissan regional vice president of Africa, the Middle East, and India, Joni Paiva said, “The Patrol is one of our longest-standing and most cherished models, with a long and proud heritage.” He also added. “The new Nissan Patrol represents the peak of luxury and ultimate capability and will continue to provide authentic experiences to its loyal customers in the Middle East and around the world.”
Designing-wise, the 2020 Nissan Patrol comes with company’s signature V-motion grille for SUVs, and a new front bumper along with LED headlights having boomerang-shaped DRLs. Moving to the rear, one can see boomerang-shaped tail lights graphics and a large chrome nameplate that connects the units of either side. There are also feature sequential turn indicators.
Ingressing inside the 2020 Patrol, one can easily comprehend that the centre console layout is completely revamped. It has two different display for the HVAC functions and infotainment, respectively. The latter comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Also, there are leather seats with diamond-stitch quilted padding along with hand-stitched leather-trimmed steering wheel as highlighting elements.
Coming to the mechanical front, the SUV is available with two engine options, a 4.0-litre V6 and a 5.6-litre V8. The former produces a maximum power of 275 hp along with a peak torque od 394 Nm. On the other hand, the latter pushes out a maximum power of 400 hp with the peak torque of 560 Nm. Both the engines have a seven-speed automatic gearbox to serve the transmission duties along with AWD.
2020 Nissan Patrol also comes with a plethora of safety equipment including Emergency Braking having Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and pedestrian detection. Moreover, the SUV has all standard safety features such as stability control and ABS with EBD. Also, the Nissan Intelligent Mobility technology suite makes its way in the car.
