Perodua Aruz becomes 10th most searched keyword on Google Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Google has released its top 10 list for ‘Malaysia’s 2019 Year in Search’. The only vehicle to make it place is the 2019 Perodua Aruz SUV. It claimed the 10th spot on the 2019 Search list. The SUV was launched on January 15, so it was searched in high volume during the second and third weeks of January.

Nadia Khan, Google Malaysia communications manager, said, “The Year in Search reflected topics that are truly unique to 2019, and it encapsulated Malaysians’ collective imagination to form a montage of what was top of mind for all of us.”

The detailed report is divided into various categories, but one can not find the auto/vehicles category as it was cut down from 2017. However, one can easily find out that the search rate for the Toyota Yaris was also high as it has made its debut in April.

The 2019 Search list was a mixture of different topics. Bantuan Sara Hidup (BSH) or cost of living allowance claimed the third spot in the list, which just fell behind “Let Me Help You Eradicate Crowds” Thanos. The top trending topic of 2019 is ‘Earth Day Quiz’.

As always, the economy and money related issues get high searches comparing to other categories. ‘Budget 2020’ claimed the third spot in the news category, while the topic of petrol prices got the fifth position.
