Pre-booking for Nissan X-Trail facelift starts; local launch scheduled for April

KUALA LUMPUR: Edaran Tan Chong Malaysia (ETCM) has announced that the new T32 Nissan X-Trail facelift will be launched in April. It has also mentioned that the bookings for the seven-seater SUV are now open. The car will be available in four different variants - X-Trail 2.0L 2WD, X-Trail 2.0L 2WD Mid, X-Trail 2.5L 4WD, and X-Trail 2.0L Hybrid.

In terms of exterior, the Nissan SUV comes with redesigned LED DRLs. The V-Motion radiator grille is all new, and at the back, it features smoked LED tail lights. The car is available with five exterior color options such as Tungsten Silver, Brilliant White, Diamond Black, new Imperial Umber, and Titanium Olive. Inside the cabin, there is a seven-inch Navi infotainment system that is supported with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are also powered leather front seats, flat-bottom steering wheel, leather-wrapped dash along with knee pads. On the dash, there is a 5-inch Advanced Drive-Assist digital display.

Both the X-Trail 2.0L 2WD and 2WD Mid are powered by the MR20DD 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, which can provide a maximum power of 144 PS along with a peak torque of 200 Nm. The X-Trail 2.5L 4WD is equipped with a QR25DE 2.5-litre engine, which belts out 171 PS and 233 Nm. The Hybrid variant gets the same 2.0-litre petrol mill that is accompanied by an electric motor. The motor produces 41 PS power and 160 Nm torque.

The X-Trail Hybrid is capable of delivering around 16.10 kmpl of mileage. All the variants of T32 Nissan X-Trail facelift have Xtronic CVT in manual mode. However, only the Hybrid variant gets a five-seat layout due to the hybrid battery placement, while all the other trims will get a seven-seater layout. Speaking of the pricing, the X-Trail 2.0L 2WD carries a price tag of RM 139,900, while the X-Trail 2.0L 2WD Mid would cost RM 149,900. The X-Trail 2.5L 4WD comes with a price tag of RM 159,00 and the range-topping variant X-Trail 2.0L Hybrid can be yours for RM 169,900.
