    Pro-Net, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Proton, has sold a total of 2,716 units of the EV across domestic and export markets in just four months. In April, it smashed the 800-unit monthly sales mark for the first time, recording 863 total deliveries (including both local and export).

    Accounting for 6% of overall Proton sales, the e.MAS 7 now holds a 26% market share in the Malaysian EV market.

    Growing the EV ecosystem

    As demand for the Proton EV continues to grow, the automaker has been constantly expanding its Integrated Live Charging Map. It currently offers 90% nationwide coverage with a listing of over 2,500 charging points, all accessible through the car’s navigation system and the Proton e.MAS app.

    Those who live in high-rise residential buildings can also own the Proton EV conveniently as more than 1,000 charging points are available in 397 high-rise apartments and condominiums.

    Further making e.MAS 7 ownership easier than ever is the brand’s scheduled preventive maintenance service program. The owners can send their cars to 24 3S Centres nationwide with 10 Body and Paint centres ready to assist. More 3S centres and body and paint centres to be added soon.

    “This is just the beginning,” added Zhang. “As we grow, we’re also actively improving our services to ensure that every current and future e.MAS 7 owner enjoys a seamless, enjoyable, and sustainable ownership experience.”

    Building on this momentum, Proton is also geared up to introduce its second electric car, the e.MAS 5, recently previewed at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025.
