Honda’s hybrids have been particularly successful, with e:HEV models accounting for nearly 30% of Malaysia’s total hybrid sales in 2024.

Honda Malaysia’s Managing Director and CEO, Hironobu Yoshimura, highlighted the company's electrification strategy, stating, “Aligned with our 2025 business direction, we are set to energise the market with the debut of our first BEV, the e:N1. This model exemplifies Honda’s advanced BEV features, while also introducing the Company’s initial EV technology to the Malaysian market. The e:N1 is poised to captivate customers with its distinctive positioning, backed by Honda’s extensive experience and wide network of after-sales support.”

The introduction of the e:N1 is just the beginning, as Honda Malaysia plans to roll out three new BEVs by 2027. This aligns with Honda’s global electrification roadmap and marks a major step in the brand’s transition towards a more sustainable future.

Beyond expanding its model lineup, Honda Malaysia is also working to enhance its sales and after-sales services. The company currently operates 104 dealerships nationwide, backed by trained professionals. It also continues to invest in digitalization, with the HondaTouch platform now boasting over 430,000 active users, streamlining service bookings and enhancing customer convenience.

The HR-V, City, and CR-V were its best-selling models, contributing 26%, 25%, and 14% of total sales, respectively. The CR-V, HR-V, and Civic also led their respective non-national segments.

As Honda Malaysia moves into 2025, the company remains committed to delivering cars that offer strong performance and an enjoyable driving experience, while gradually integrating more electrified options into its lineup.
