T32 Nissan X-Trail facelift variants displayed at media preview event

KUALA LUMPUR: A media preview event for the T32 Nissan X-Trail facelift was recently organised, where the manufacturer showcased all four variants of the SUV. Prior to this, Edaran Tan Chong Malaysia (ETCM), Nissan Malaysia official distributor informed that the car would arrive in the Malaysia market this April. Meanwhile, the booking for the seven-seater SUV has begun.

The T32 Nissan X-Trail facelift comes with a V-Motion radiator grille, and it has a new boomerang-style LED daytime running lights with the reshaped headlights. Moreover, it has smoked LED tail lamps and shark fin antenna. The car rides on 17-inch wheels.

Inside the cabin, it has a seven-inch infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The driver will grip a nice flat-bottom steering wheel. Also, all trims benefit from a five-inch Advanced Drive-Assist digital display, and parking brake with hold assist.

The base model of T32 Nissan X-Trail facelift is equipped with an MR20DD 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, which offers a maximum power of 144 PS and peak torque of 200 Nm. The high-end 2.5L AWD trim gets a QR25DE 2.5-litre powertrain that can churn out 171 PS of power and has a peak torque of 233 Nm.

The Hybrid variant shares the same engine with the base variant and it is coupled with an electric motor, which produces 41 PS of power and peak torque is 160 Nm. All the variants have Xtronic CVT with manual mode. Nissan claims that the Hybrid variant offers the best in class mileage with 16.10 kmpl.

Speaking of the safety feature, the car comes with Nissan Intelligent Mobility. It includes Intelligent Ride Control, Intelligent Trace Control, and Intelligent Engine Brake. Moreover, the Around View Monitor with Intelligent Moving Object Detection is a standard offering.

In terms of pricing, the base 2.0L 2WD variant costs RM 139,900, the X-Trail 2.0L 2WD Mid carries a price tag of RM 149,900. To get the X-Trail 2.5L 4WD model, one would have to spend around RM 159,900, and the top-spec X-Trail 2.0L Hybrid is priced at RM 169,900.
