2020 Perodua Bezza teaser video out, price & specs confirmed

KUALA LUMPUR: You must have already seen the leaked brochure and price list of the new Perodua Bezza. Following the leaks, the Malaysian automaker has released a teaser video showing off the updated A-segment sedan's exterior and interior bits. Also, Perodua has brought out the order booklets to register new bookings for the upcoming Bezza. Now, talking more of the teaser video, we also see the Malaysian footballer Safee Sali alongside the revisited Bezza.

Just as the leaked brochure revealed, the all-new 2020 Perodua Bezza flaunts LED headlamps, redesigned front grille, two-tone side skirts, dual-tone 15-inch alloy wheels, and a touchscreen infotainment system that also works as the display for the rear camera.

Other additions or changes include a two-tone trim piece that connects the two taillamps, new more muscular bumper with edgy faux vents, 14-inch wheels for the 1.0L models, and two new finishes going by the title of Garnet Red and Granite Grey, respectively.

The most talked-about addition to the 2020 Perodua Bezza is the Advanced Safety Assist (ASA) 2.0 safety suite. While the A-segment sedan already features numerous safety features like multiple SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), and others, the high-end variants also get the advanced safety suite that brings along Pedestrian Detection (up to 50 kmph), Pre-Collision Warning (up to 100 kmph), Pre-Collision Braking (up to 80 kmph), Front Departure Alert and Pedal Misoperation Control.

The same old 1.0-litre three-cylinder VVT-i engine and the 1NR-VE 1.3-litre four-pot motor continue to power the 2020 Perodua as well. The power figures for the two engines read and 67 hp & 91 Nm and 94 hp & 121 Nm. While the 1.0-litre engine can be had with either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission, the larger 1.3-litre engine, on the other hand, is available with the four-speed automatic transmission only.

The 1.0L G Manual and the 1.0L G Auto models of the 2020 Perodua Bezza are priced at RM 34,580 and RM 36,580 each. For, the high-end 1.3L X and the 1.3L AV variants, you will need to shell out RM 43,980 and RM 49,980, respectively.
