2021 Toyota Fortuner, Hilux new accessories released in Thailand

KUALA LUMPUR: In Land of Smiles, Toyota just introduced the newest iterations of its top-selling models, Hilux and Fortuner. The new models feature some major design tweaks, punchy engines, and the latest safety features. Now without taking time, the automaker rolled out the packages of genuine accessories for the new Hilux and Fortuner for enhanced cosmetic treatment.

Starting with refreshed Fortuner, the SUV gets silver accented skid plate, gloss black Fortuner badge on the bonnet, black or silver fog light surrounds, scratch protective films for the door handles and tailgate, wide-angle side mirrors, TRD decals for doors and tailgate, chrome inserts for the taillights and exhaust and a spare tire cover and protector.

Inside the cabin, customers can opt for a reverse parking camera, USB charger, wireless charging pad, dash-mounted cameras (front and rear), electric lumbar support, back cushion, and blue LED footwell lighting. A hands-free “kick to open” tailgate function is also available.

For  Hilux, the accessories package comprises chrome highlights on the door handles, taillights, and the tailgate, along with muscular fender extensions for a wider-looking stance. Other attachments include fuel tank sticker cover, tailgate lid cover, steel rear bumper, mudguards, a wide-angle view for the side mirror, and several wheel options. 

The Hilux cabin can also be restyled with wood inserts. Technical accessories include USB charging port, wireless charging pad, blue LED footwell lighting, smart rearview mirror, and front- and rear-facing HD dashcam.

Along with differentiating the models from the standard ones, these exciting accessories add a little more zing. 2020 Toyota Hilux and Fortuner highlight a more powerful 2.8-litre diesel engine, subtle exterior, interior modifications, and a Toyota Safety Sense for the top-spec variants.

The Thai-spec Fortuner and Hilux are expected to go on sale by the end of this month. However, in Malaysia, we might see these two by the end of this year.
