Nissan reveals new price list with 0% GST ahead of June 1

KUALA LUMPUR: Come June 1, 0% GST will be levied on cars. This will make the prices fall, but only until the Sales and Service Tax is back in action, after which the rates will hike. To extract the most of the situation, Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) has revealed new Nissan price list with 0% GST, and it is also offering cash rebates.

ETCM says that all customers who purchased a Nissan passenger vehicle during 16-31 May are eligible for a full cash rebate on GST. This news was announced during the launch of C27 Serena S-Hybrid. ETCM also made it clear that with the GST cash rebate promotion in action, the earlier ‘price protection promise’ is no longer valid.

Customers can also benefit from the Duit Raya rewards via the ongoing Blissful Journey with Nissan promotion throughout May, and get savings worth up to RM 13,000. Keep in mind, this is in addition to the 0% GST price.

For example, on the purchase of Nissan X-Trail, customers can get a GST rebate of up to RM 9,419.99. Add to this the benefit of up to RM 10,000 from the Duit Raya reward, and the total savings sum up to RM 19,419.99. Similarly, the 2017 model of Nissan Navara gives you a total savings of RM 19,770.92.

People who were looking to purchase a Nissan, this is a great opportunity to avail the most out of the situation. All the new prices are OTR (on-the-road) prices, excluding insurance. However, these prices will not sustain forever. Companies will have to hike them once the Sales and Services Tax (SST) will come into force, which it eventually will, within two or three months.
